My name is Anne Wake. I am one of the founder members of Brain Injury Is BIG. I’m a nursery school teacher, wife to Phil and mother of two adult sons, Pete and Chris. Our eldest son, Peter, sustained a traumatic brain injury in 2007 and as a family we worked together to help Peter to be well and stay well and to never feel alone in his fight.
I hope that this Brain Injury Is BIG website and our telephone helpline will be of help in some way to those unfortunate enough to find themselves in a similar position.
My role within Brain Injury Is BIG is to help support families and to promote our services within hospitals and rehab centres and on occasion to help with the support line.
